A Comedian Sees a Facebook Ad

A few hours later, another audio file appears, and boom, a fully recorded Flipmits theme song arrives. And it’s awesome! Can we use this I ask?!

When you create a new product, you never know how people will react. Will they like it? Love it? Hate it? Sing a song about it? This is a story about that last kind of reaction.

It all started a few weeks with some simple questions about our Flipmits from a potential customer on instragram.  He saw our Facebook ads and had questions. We answered his questions, and I think we are done. Then a new note appears.

“I am a musician and suddenly got an idea of a theme song for this in a 1980s style rock vibe, I’ll record this idea. One sec”

Shortly thereafter, an audio file appears with this stranger humming a song.  “Cute” I think. I thank him for the idea and the humming and assume we are done. "That was fun!" I think.

 Nope.

A few hours later, another audio file appears, and boom, a fully recorded Flipmits theme song arrives. And it’s awesome!

THE FLIPMITS THEME SONG

"Can we use this?" I ask.

"Of course" he says. “Truly, it just popped in my head and I was suddenly driven to make this!”.

That's kind of like the story of Flipmits, I think to myself.  So who is this Flipmits superfan, and how did he make a theme song so fast?

Well, it turns out, his name is Matt Griffo, and he is a well-respected musician and comedian from Chicago who mixes those skills quite often, performing around the world.

Then Matt sends me another message. “I also recorded a video of me putting this song together I need to edit and upload to my YouTube channel!”

 Whaaaat!?  Watch for yourself.

You can see more of Matt Griffo and his comedic stylings here. Thanks for tuning in!
