I spent around 3 hours in the woods last month. The weather was rainy, and I was there around 8:30 at night. Temperature was around 48 degrees Fahrenheit for the remainder of the time I was there. My hands stayed warm the whole time, even with the gusts of wind and spots of rain.
Feel wise, I equate these to when you have a sweatshirt and brings your sleeves down to your hands. The fleece inside the sweater keeping your hands from getting to cold. I've yet to try these in much colder weather, but I will once the next couple of months come around.
I own way too many pairs of Flipmits. Love them. I wear them everyday because my hands are cold all winter long. When I'm in the barn waiting around, I can use them as mitts to warm my fingertips. These are extra thick and fluffy compared to other colors.
