Around the palm for circumference, wrist to longest fingertip for length. Length is the measurement that matters most.
Hoody mode
Flip and stretch the pocket over your hand for full coverage — thumb tucked in or out. Hands are meant to be curled when covered.
Between two sizes? Size up — Flipmits stretch to fit and the extra length gives you full flip-and-cover coverage. Youth sizes (XXXS–XS) are only available in select colors.

Mitten mode is meant to be worn with relaxed hands, with enough stretch to reach your phone or watch without taking them off. If the whole thing runs too big or small, swap it. If it's only the pocket that feels short, that's the fit working as designed.
